If you are reading this post, I’m guessing you have read the previous post and you’re as curious as many others for the answers I promised to give. I have decided to answer them singly, so its easier for us to read through and that would give better understanding. Hmmm who am I to answer with clarity? I can only hope that the understanding I got from the scriptures will be passed in a clear message to you all.
The first question is WHO CREATED GOD? This is a tricky one and it’s more so because you already know the answer. It’s not just tricky, its very relevant , not just for now but for the future because your kids are going to ask you the same question and they’d be staring at you with wide eyes expecting a sensible answer that will satisfy them. Lets see if this post can help save some future disappointments.
Many people have tried to answer this question but I believe its only God that can give us proper insight into it individually. So to answer the question , NO ONE CREATED GOD! So the next question is my reason for that answer , that’s the Crux of this post, let’s do this .
Naturally we are inclined to think everything must have a beginning because every affect has a cause. However the beauty of God is that He has no beginning and he has no end. He always was, is and always will be.
Psalm 90:2 Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
Revelations 22:13 I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last!
God is the uncreated creator of the universe. His eternal existence is a fundamental attribute of the Almighty. Our own existence and that of the entire universe testifies to the existence of an eternal God. To explain it in simple terms i’ll say you cannot create something you cannot define, God defines things and that’s all there is to it, he has just always existed .
I love Job’s understanding of the majesty of God.
Job 11: 7-9 Do you think you can explain the mystery of God? Do you think you can diagram God Almighty? God is far higher than you can imagine, far deeper than you can comprehend, stretching farther than earth’s horizons, far wider than the endless ocean.
No one created God, he has always existed. He is bigger than we can ever comprehend. for something to exist, something must have existed and that something is God. In as much as we want to have a clear understanding of something, this is one question that shows your level of faith in God. To believe in a being that you cannot explain his existence is what makes it beautiful, I can’t imagine serving a God whom I can exhaust all that he is, that I can’t even conjure up what he looks like amazes me. I can tell that he is big but I can’t tell how big he is.
Hebrews 11 :3 By faith, we see the world called into existence by God’s word, what we see created by what we don’t see.
In summary, this is a flawed question because what makes him God is that no one can make him. Are you not excited to serve a God no one can make!
