I went MIA for a few weeks because my final exams came up, so this means I’m finally done with med school! In as much as I’ve been floating with excitement, the one question that plagued my mind towards the final exams has been what next ?
Literarily , I’ve been on a soul searching mission and while I do not have all the answers yet, I have found a directed path. In my quiet moments of searching, I realized I could never go through it on my own, with my own human eyes I could see very little ahead, maybe because I had created a routine throughout my time in school that I got stuck and didn’t know what to do when I got out.
The scriptures remain ever clear in those moments of fear for the unforeseen and I’d be sharing a couple of them
Matthew 11:28-29 Come to me , all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and , learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart.
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.
Isaiah 48:19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up, do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper ypu and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
Proverbs 16:9 In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps
In as much as a new beginning seems scary, there’s a lot you can get from it, it’s a new page, a new chapter, a chance to do things differently and doing it with God’s help grants you the grace to acheive anything you set your mind to. This new phase can come through for you, why not trust God as a little child trusts their parents with everything they’ve got. I like the sound of new already !
